| The "Who Done It" crime
that took place May 21st to 24th 2010 has been solved.
The murders have been solved, the suspects taken away in handcuffs,
the ransom money has been paid; another Victoria Day Camp has come
and gone. Did we have fun? Soaked and covered in mud on Saturday,
hot and sweaty on Sunday. From the smiles on all the youth’s faces
we believe that Victoria Day was another success.
In order to put together a camp like this many
people behind the scenes need to be thanked. From the Scout section
the event team of Brent Wilson, Nathan Ausher and
Pat Hall, a team of three but the enthusiasm of an army,
provided the youth with events to keep them busy from Friday night
until Monday when the murderer was revealed. The kitchen staff of
Joan and Colin Barty and Paul Anderson, thanks for the
food to keep the staff energized. Thank you to Mark Sferrazza,
VICDAY would never be the same without the “Markman Radio Show”
to get us up and going in the mornings. Our lunch wide meal was a
great success thanks to Rob Pissey and his team. Keep
watching the Hamilton Wentworth page for pictures of camp which
could not have been possible without thanking our handy photographer
Paul Goodman. To all the additional staff who came out to
help, in each of their own little ways, thank you for pitching in
wherever assistance was needed.
Congratulations
to the 74th Hamilton Mystery Machine patrol who took first
place overall, second place to the 63rd Hamilton Mortiart’s
and third place to the 13th Hamilton Falcons.
To all the scouts and
leaders who attended this year, thank you for helping create
memories of Victoria Day 2010. Nobody can do everything, but
everyone can do something, thank you to everyone who did something.
